This interactive cd is the multimedia catalogue of the one-man show “The hyperrealist impressionism” of Luigi Rocca which took place from February 1st to 29th, 2004 at the Modern and Contemporary City art Gallery of San Donà di Piave (Venice).
The cd features a critic introduction by Dr.ssa Elisa Capitanio, the complete catalogue with the exhibited images and the complete biography of Luigi Rocca.
Luigi Rocca reveals New York through a painting learned from the American Hyperrealists, who refined in the sixties a technique of reproduction on the verge of mimetic illusionism. In his painting art and photography overlap as well and the artist considers the latter a means to rebuild the reality, without limiting the pleasure of painting freely.
The show was organized by Melori & Rosenberg Gallery under the patronage of the Townhall of San Donà di Piave (Venice) and curated by Dr.ssa Derna Deffendi, with the critic of Dr.ssa Elisa Capitanio.
