Catalogue of the one-man show “Back Home” by Luigi Rocca mounted at Church Sant’Antonio Abate in Udin from December 1st to 16th, 2007.
This anthological show of the Friulian Painter Luigi Rocca is made of artworks which are focused on observation, which soon becomes examination. He analyses, “vivisects” American metropolis with their skyscrapers of bright chromium plating, comings and goings of people under extremely large advertisement posters.
With Back Home Luigi Rocca exhibits in his beloved motherland – the Friul region – and a dream becomes true.
The catalogue features an introduction by Ing. Valeria Grillo and On. Giorgio Santuz, preface by Arch. Veronica Balutto (curator of the show), critic texts by Alessandro Zangrando (journalist) and Petra Schaefer Andreoli (art historic) as well as the images of the sixteen original paintings.
The show was organized by the Province of Udin, with the contribution of Fondazione CRUP, sponsored by the Townhall of Udin, Townhall of Porpetto, Association Friuli nel Mondo, Cattleya, Ilcam, Grafiche Manzanesi, Banca di Cividale, Melori & Rosenberg, Idealsedia, Schoellerbank, IDF Design, Caffè Contarena, Suite Inn, Ideal Domus and Shop&Play Città Fiera.
