The show, made by artworks of great artistic and emotional effect, results from the educational project “1989 Berliner Mauer 2009. Yet opened in June at the seat of the Marcianum Institute, Dorsoduro 1, Venice, at the presence of Patriarch Angelo Scola, and afterwards mounted at Melori & Rosenberg Gallery in the Ghetto of Venice in September, the show “Over the Wall” was hosted in Germany at CJD Christophorusschule Droyssig last October. Now, during the days of the commemoration of the Fall of the Berlin Wall, it comes back to Venice. Then, it will proceed to other cities.
In the Opening, planned on Saturday Nov. 7th at 12 pm at Scuola Grande di San Teodoro some important people will take part: Luana Zanella, Culture Councillor of the City of Venice, Paola Nardini, Honorary Counsil of the Federal Republic of Germany in Venice; Brian E. Ferme, Chancelor of Studium Generale Marcianum.
“Over the Wall. Not to disregard the tragedy nor to forget the wounds, but to become the main characters of our history, winning the non involment which divides people and building a future of hopes”, with these words Don Natalino Bonazza, headmaster of the Liceo and creator of the project, opens the catalogue of the show.
