Biography
She graduates in painting in Fine Arts Academy Albertina of Turin in 2002.
Anna Madia's portraits interpret the dramas and the feelings of a new generation of Ophelias,
silent theatrical heroines with clear eyes and delicate complexions suspended between desperation and boredom in their domestic environment.
Despite the choice of a traditional medium and the evident references to classic icon of innocent but rule-breeking femininity, her subjects are intensively alive and contemporary.
In the last period, thanks to a collaboration between the artist and the world of theatre she has start a new project called “Je théatrale” where the theatral dimension and the research of the character in
the painting’s work live together: it is a symbolic travel inside the human nature.
